Bed Extension Bracket
*Work in Progress, uninstalled
I designed and outsource manufactured a pair of brackets to extend the sideboards of an antique bed frame to fit modern mattress sizes.
The footboard of the bed frame has a slot that accepts a metal bracket attached to the sideboards of the frame. I have recreated the functional aspects of the black metal bracket, and extended it by 8 inches with the blue extenders.

Laser cut sheet metal in selected alloy and thickness was outsourced to a manufacturer associated with Xometry, for cutting and coating. Black oxide and blue powder coating were used for the respective 1018 cold rolled steel parts.
